What you'll need:1 c. sour cream
8 oz. package crumbled blue cheese
6 oz. package cream cheese, softened
4 tbsp. diced onions
1/4 tsp. hot sauce
8 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
Garnishes: Chopped fresh parsley, blue cheese crumbles
Put it all together:
Yields 3 cups for serving in the Texas skillet. Cut in half for smaller party portions
- Process the sour cream, blue cheese, cream cheese, onion and hot sauce together in a blender or food processor until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides and keep it consistent.
- Stir in half of the bacon, cover and chill 2 hours.
- When ready to serve, turn on your oven to 200 degrees, scoop out the dip and lay it into the TEXAS cast iron skillet before putting into the oven to warm up for 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle the top with remaining bacon, garnish with parsley and blue cheese crumbles, and serve with cut veggies or crackers.
